A Christmas Light Switch On

In 2015 we designed a Christmas light switch on by inviting artists to submit proposals for light up sculptures. We had a curated list of local bands playing and market stalls from young designers and makers.

 

The magical christmas event also had an interactive element to it where we gave out 1000 L.E.D balloons to the audience which they could blow up with a countdown to turning on the artwork.

 

The audience could walk around and buy something unique and handmade for Christmas whilst being mesmerised by the light up artwork and put into the festive spirit with bands playing the harp and double bass.

 

This event was part of Festiv_alt a nationwide project for young people to bring in the Christmas vibe by somewhereto_.
