A pop up shop changing every week

presents

Throughout 2015 we ran a more permanent pop-up shop. This shop was unique by changing every week.

'It Is What It Is' was open to any young person to use for free.

They had to go through a pitching process by somewhereto_ create. If their idea fitted in with the ethos of the shop and they proved they could run their business for a whole week then they got given the shop keys.

This project was set up to help young entrepreneurs with starting up their business.

We had a range of start-ups from people that have never sold to the public to people that have been trading small but never ran a shop.

We had 46 different projects come through the doors of It Is What It Is. We saw a huge array of projects from galleries to anti poll booth, local record store to clothes shop, crafts shop to social projects.

Every week the shop changed to completely different project ran by a new person or collective.

List coming soon.

This project is ran by Pop-Up Brighton and somewhereto_.
